One on One College Counseling

Students get a personal college counselor to guide them through the college application process.

• Evaluate high school coursework choices to optimize the likelihood of college acceptance.
• Create specific opportunities for the student based on extracurricular pursuits and summer experiences.
• Identify a list of desired colleges and schedule visits.
• Brainstorm ideas and review essays for Common Application, University of California, Texas Apply, and individual school essays during the application review process.
• Choose teachers/counselors for recommendations and how to approach for best results.
• Prepare and practice with students for on-campus and off-campus interviews and meetings with admissions officers – will interact with college’s on student’s behalf.
• Establish a standardized testing schedule.
• Recommend ACT/SAT local One-on-One Tutors and testing prep classes.
• Financial aid goals and strategies, including reviewing scholarship listings

Filling out and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Application

• Develop strategies for acceptance if placed on the waitlist or deferred
• Meet deadlines and stay on schedule to reduce stress.
• Students will receive in-person meetings (where available), unlimited phone, google meet, and email correspondences.
